Experience worth discussing
IBDCyber includes national and international cooperation among its institutional objectives. This purpose connects questions of public policy, research and education with experience in other sectors and countries. The interest lies in what can be learned and the conditions needed to apply that knowledge.
The Institute's presentation records participation in events and a mission to Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., in 2024. These entries form part of its record of institutional engagement. Participation in an event alone does not establish an ongoing partnership or allow commitments to be attributed to other organisations.
Who can introduce a subject
Public bodies can bring questions about institutional capacity and public policy. Researchers and universities can propose research questions and discussions of evidence. Businesses and representative organisations can explain challenges in their sectors. Civil society organisations can contribute experience of how digital decisions affect people's lives.
A proposal should describe the subject, the contribution expected from each participant and the reason for working together. These details help distinguish an initial conversation, a one-off event and a project with continuing responsibilities. They also provide a basis for considering whether the proposed activity fits the Institute's purpose.
How to begin
Introduce your organisation, briefly describe the subject and explain the aim of the contact. If public material would help the team understand the proposal, include a link. The team can then consider its relevance and whether a discussion would be useful.
Timing, resources, use of brands, publication of results and responsibilities should be agreed before an initiative begins. This page offers a way to start a conversation. It does not list confirmed partners or guarantee acceptance of proposals. Available channels are gathered on the contact page.
